Strange has the skills of a fantasy starter, but he lacks the fit. Liam Coen's offense will feature its receiving corps while asking its tight ends to block and release into the flats on play action passes.
Unless multiple receivers get hurt and Brian Thomas gets traded, I'm not expecting Strange to deliver on his potential for fantasy GMs.

You know what you're getting here: a reliable set of hands in the middle of the field in an offense with Liam Coen calling plays and Trevor Lawrence making the throws. But he's one of a dozen or so tight ends jammed together in dynasty value in the lower-TE1 to mid-TE2 range. At 25, he's younger than most of his tier-mates, which gives him the edge, but he hasn't topped 10 PPR points a game in his three-year career. He's also a UFA after this season. Don't overpay.

The Jaguars and standout TE Brenton Strange have agreed to terms on a three-year extension worth up to $48 million, with $25 million guaranteed, his agents told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
