Thomas endured one of the sharpest drops in recent memory. His rookie season demonstrated truly elite career potential, but a disappointing sophomore campaign derailed those hopes. The only comparable fall this century is Michael Clayton with the Buccaneers in 2005. Moving Travis Hunter mostly to defense helps Thomas play like his old rookie self and training camp reports that Thomas looks great. He still carries clear WR1 upside but has a scary floor. A risk, but go big or go home

Thomas is a great rebound candidate after a tough ankle injury derailed his sophomore season and held him to just 707 yards. He was the clear star of Jacksonville's offseason program, meaning he is primed to rebuild that rookie chemistry with Trevor Lawrence and finish higher than his ADP suggests. 

Thomas was a second-round pick in 2025 fantasy drafts before a disastrous sophomore season. The price is right to buy the rebound, but the fact that Parker Washington is a favorite to outproduce him shows just how poorly his first year with Liam Coen went.

Lawrence was not the catalyst for Thomas' best weeks as a rookie. Liam Coen had an aggressive downfield passing game in Tampa Bay and was a part of acquiring deep threat, Dyami Brown and drafting Travis Hunter. 

By midseason, Coen pivoted the offense to suit Lawrence's strengths. They traded for Jakobi Meyers and extended his contract immediately. They also made Parker Washington a key component of the offense. 

Thomas and Lawrence are spending time on their vertical rapport this spring, but be cautous about seeing massive improvement beyond shorts and pads. If there is, we could see Thomas rebound to rookie year heights, but I'm skeptical of a huge jump. It's more likely Thomas is WR2 to Parker Washington this year with better production but not like his rookie year.
