Brian Thomas outperformed Malik Nabers in his first season, but that is because Nabers missed time. Thomas himself is a budding superstar, but the quarterback situation concerns me. Thomas performed better with Mac Jones and Lawrence hardly instills confidence. Maybe a new head coach sorts this out. Beware paying too high a price.

Last year, he was the primary offensive threat for Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars' passing offense. This year, Travis Hunter and Dyami Brown enter the fray. How will that affect his production? The unknown is what lowers him down the rankings; otherwise, he's a top-5 threat. 

Thomas was a terror in limited slot duty last year. New HC Coen says more slot work is coming. Overall WR1 darkhorse candidate.

Thomas showed the NFL last year why he was not riding Malik Nabers' coattails at LSU. He's a skilled route runner with A.J. Green-like length, quickness, and play strength to produce as a primary option. 

Look for Thomas to deliver similar production in 2025. I have his yardage and touchdown totals just slightly lower because Travis Hunter should benefit from more teams bracketing Thomas in Year Two. 

Even so, Thomas is an excellent fantasy starter who can give you elite weeks. 

A physical freak at 6' 2.7" and 209 pounds. He ran a 4.33 40-yard dash and posted a 38.5" vertical and a 10'06" broad jump. His immense talent immediately translated as he caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie. He ranked sixth in Yards per Route Run (2.45), 13th in receiving yards per game (73.7), and 11th in percentage of the team's air yards (35%).

While he was a first-round pick, he was typically ranked a tier behind Marvin Harrison Jr, Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze. He outperformed every one of them in 2024. A new head coach brings a new, fantasy-friendly offense, and he should thrive in 2025.

The prospect of Thomas Jr. leading a Liam Coen passing attack is exciting. If Trevor Lawrence develops in his new situation, Thomas should turn significant usage on a team that figures to throw a ton into a mid-tier WR1 campaign.
