Tate enters his rookie year with high expectations after the Titans drafted him 4th overall to be a cornerstone of their passing game. While rookie wideouts can sometimes take a few weeks to adjust to the NFL speed, Tate's ready-made skill set gives him a direct path to a heavy target share right out of the gate. He is one of the most exciting, high-impact rookies to target as a high-upside WR3.
Matt Waldman
Tate is the best rookie receiver in this class and reminded me in style of Justin Jefferson. He excels at the catch point and possesses excellent body movement to adjust at the boundary and with the ball in the air.
Tate will begin the season as the Titans' top receiver, and should earn a wide range of targets as Cam Ward's soon-to-be favorate receiver. While aggressive to list Tate this high, many were right to consider Tetairoa McMillian as a top-15 option as a rookie playing with a young quarterback.
I believe Tate is a better player in a similar situation.

Playing the Malik Nabers role in Brian Daboll's offense equates to elite target volume. The extent to which that volume is catchable is one issue. Among QBs to play at least 8 games last year, Ward was third-worst in the league in catchable throw percentage, ahead of only Michael Penix Jr. and JJ McCarthy. Tate's early success hinges on Ward and Tate's ability to win against the opposing team's best corners. He was among the class leaders in success rate against man and press coverage, so the potential is there. Ceiling is a consistent fantasy WR1. Floor is a consistent fantasy WR3.
