Fannin turned heads during his 2025 rookie year, showing off the kind of dynamic athletic profile that translates beautifully to fantasy success. Now fully settled into Cleveland’s offense under Todd Monken, he is primed for a major sophomore jump in targets. In a fantasy landscape where reliable tight ends are tough to find, Fannin offers a secure weekly floor with legitimate top-tier upside, especially if we can rely on the quarterback position. 

Last year's TE5 finish looks difficult to repeat. A potential quarterback change, a new offensive scheme, and the addition of two talented rookie receivers create a tough path to similar production, even though Fannin proved he's the real deal.

Cleveland didn't unlock Fannin's intermediate prowess as often as fantasy GMs would have liked in 2025, but that was David Njoku's role. This sets up questions about Fannin's role as a second-year option with Todd Monken in the fold. 

Will Monken use two tight ends and keep Fannin as the check-down option, or will they highlight Fannin more often as an intermediate matchup threat?  

Will Deshaun Watson develop a rapport with Fannin, if Watson begins the year as the Browns' starter? Will the addition of two rookie receivers make the offense less efficient and cost Fannin targets because drives stall more often? 

If Cleveland's offense clicks, Fannin could have an expanded role and top-five value. There are a lot of questions that limit optimism about the offense maximizing Fannin, so expecting significant production growth from a strong rookie year is a gamble.
