Cowboys 'out of safeties' as Thompson ruled out; Ferguson TD cuts Ravens lead to 24-21
Cowboys S Jalen Thompson has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Ravens with a hamstring injury, and S Markquese Bell is getting an IV for dehydration, with his return questionable. Dallas was already without safeties Malik Hooker (broken forearm) and P.J. Locke (torn plantar fascia), so Alijah Clark replaced Thompson, CB Reddy Steward is in at nickel and rookie Caleb Downs will move back to safety. Earlier, TE Jake Ferguson capped a six-play, 67-yard drive with a 19-yard touchdown catch from QB Dak Prescott, who is 19-of-29 for 156 yards, and WR CeeDee Lamb caught the 2-point conversion to cut Baltimore's lead to 24-21 late in the third quarter.

Jake Ferguson's contract restructured
The Dallas Cowboys created a little more than $19 million in salary cap space by restructuring the contracts of three players, sources told ESPN. Veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark, cornerback DaRon Bland, and tight end Jake Ferguson had their deals reworked to give the Cowboys flexibility as the 2026 season begins or allow the club to carry over any unused space to 2027.
