Frankie Luvu, Chig Okonkwo, Sam Cosmi ruled out for Week 3 vs. Seahawks
Commanders LB Frankie Luvu (groin), TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) and RG Sam Cosmi (concussion) have been ruled out for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Seahawks, head coach Dan Quinn said on Friday, adding that the staff will consult with the medical team before making a final decision. Luvu and Okonkwo, who both missed Week 2 against the Cowboys, did not practice and went through rehab on a side field. Rookie LB Sonny Styles, who wore the green dot as the primary on-field play-caller against Dallas, and LB Leo Chenal will again take on more responsibility in Luvu's absence. With Okonkwo out, Washington will lean on TEs John Bates, Ben Sinnott and Colson Yankoff, while newcomer Lucas Patrick is among the options to replace Cosmi.
