Jordyn Tyson

Tyson landed in a perfect spot after New Orleans selected him eighth overall to pair with Chris Olave. He is an exceptional route runner who dominated against zone coverage in college. He showed out well in training camp; however, a fairly severe hamstring injury will keep him shelved for at least five weeks of the season, if not longer. He is worth a late-round stash, especially if you have a deep roster, and could pay dividends later in the season.

Fourth aggravation of hamstring injury in the last 10 months on the same leg as the knee he wrecked in 2022. Anything more than a redshirt year would be a pleasant surprise at this point, even if he's able to return in two months.

Tyson's highlight moments are as good as any receiver's in this class. The problem is Tyson has a lot of minor flaws with every phase of his game that crop up too frequently and lead to missed opportunities that could get magnified in the NFL if not corrected early. 

Tyson's injury history is another concerning matter. If he can tame both issues, he could become the Saints' future primary option or a strong 1-B to Chris Olave's 1-A. 

This year, Tyson is one of the most volatile rookies on the board. If you have strong starters and depth with starter ability in your WR room, you might choose to live with Tyson's boom-bust profile as a dart throw.
