Jacobs going on the commisioner exempt list places his season and career in doubt. Draftable for those who take risks only. Some players aren't on the list long, others much much longer.

The recent news of Josh Jacobs being placed on the commissioner's exempt list is a horrible turn of events for his fantasy outlook. He becomes a player to avoid with this news, making him only a viable draft selection once your RB stable has been established. Consider him an RB4 or later at best. It is also possible he doesn't play a single down this season. Be cautious.

Placed on the Commssioner Exempt List on 8/30. Jacobs may not practice or attend games while on the list. Marshawn Lloyd is next man up.
Matt Waldman
Jacobs missed two games last year after playing every game in 2024. He still earned 14 touchdowns, which was the second-highest total of his 8-year career.
An ongoing investigation into domestic violence could derail part of Jacobs' season, but there are no formal charges at this time.
If Jacobs escapes charges, he could author 1500 yards from scrimmage and 12-15 touchdowns. If he's charged, Jacobs might miss time this year.

Josh Jacobs placed on Commissioner Exempt List
Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs is being placed on the commissioner exempt list on Sunday, Aug. 30, according to sources. Last week, Jacobs was charged with battery and criminal damage to property, both misdemeanors, by a district attorney in Wisconsin. He was originally arrested in late May on five counts, including one felony. Jacobs will not be available for the start of the NFL season, and it remains how long he'll be on the shelf.
