Makai Lemon

Lemon steps into a first-year opportunity as Philadelphia's clear WR2 behind DeVonta Smith following the A.J. Brown trade. The Biletnikoff winner offers full-PPR upside if his college target efficiency translates early. If he is utilized as a possession type of receiver, he could produce quality numbers in Year one. 

Lemon possesses excellent technique as a pass-catcher and toughness at the catch point against tight coverage. Lemon is not a physical player like A.J. Brown who imposes his will on opponents. Instead, Lemon withstands physical play with success. 

There difference translates to how much confidence a quarterback has in targeting a receiver in tight windows and the type of routes where he might do so. Jalen Hurts earned criticism this spring that he wouldn't target Brown in tight windows. 

If he won't target Brown, I wonder how we can imagine him targeting Lemon. This bears monitoring and could lead to us refining expectations for Hurts, the Eagles offense, and/or Lemon.

In theory, Lemon is capable of earning 1,000 yards and 8-10 scores as a rookie. I'm betting he'll be shy of 900 yards and score 4-6 times.
