Johnson held to 13 yards on 2 carries in win over Patriots
Chicago Bears RB Roschon Johnson ran 2 times for 13 yards in Thursday's 30-24 win over the New England Patriots. He was projected for 8.7 fantasy points (half-PPR) and finished with 1.3.
Bears showing 'mindfulness to preserve' D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson takes second-half work
Bears RB D'Andre Swift had only four of his 16 carries (44 yards, two touchdowns) after halftime in Sunday's win over the Falcons, as the team managed his workload and rode RB Roschon Johnson as what it felt was the hot hand late in the game. Swift's second-half usage has been a topic since Week 4. "I think there's a mindfulness to preserve him a little bit. It's a long season," offensive coordinator Press Taylor said.
Kyle Monangai out, in a boot; Roschon Johnson moves up to No. 2 RB
Bears RB Kyle Monangai has been ruled out of Sunday's game at Green Bay with a toe injury he sustained in last Sunday's win over the Jets, and coach Ben Johnson described his status as week-to-week. "We were certainly conscious of the thumb, and it turns out the toe is a bigger deal than we initially anticipated," Johnson said. "We've got him with a specialist and so we'll work through that. He's in a boot currently and we'll go from there." With Monangai out, RB Roschon Johnson moves up to No. 2 on the depth chart, and the coach called him "a complete back" who "can do a little bit of everything."
