Put him on your training camp watchlist. If the Rams are using him consistently out of the slot, he warrants late-round sleeper consideration.

Ferguson has excellent height and size. He's fast enough to stretch a seam and earn position in the second level of zones as he breaks to the boundary.
There are concerns with his attack of the football because he's a notorious clap-attacker. He's at his best when he's catching the ball uncovered.
Ferguson should earn more targets this year, but don't expect the Rams' TE-by-committee to disappear. Drafting Max Klare is another indication that Ferguson will remain a big-play option at the position, but not a consistent fantasy starter.

He's one of 5 TEs who could see significant playing time as Sean McVay evolves into using more multi-TE personnel groups. His 2026 production likely disappoints, but better times are coming. Colby Parkinson and red-zone threat Davis Allen are free agents after this season. Tyler Higbee is 33 and a free agent after 2027. That leaves Ferguson and rookie Max Klare, who could be a dynamic duo going forward.
