If you're a sports soap opera addict who can't get enough drama, you're likely concerned that Cook didn't earn a new deal before the NFL Draft. If you accept what the Bills and Cook have said at face value, Cook will eventually get his deal and remain the lead back in the Buffalo offense.
Despite Josh Allen hogging football's checkered flag like Ricky Bobby, Cook managed 18 touchdowns and nearly 1300 yards of offense last year. While expecting more than a dozen scores from Cook in 2025 might be betting on a repeat of a likely outlier total for Cook's career, 10-12 touchdowns seems reasonable.
The factor to monitor is Ray Davis. If he somehow forces an even split in workload or earns most of the red-zone snaps, Cook could drop to a mid-range/low fantasy RB2.

The contract dispute must be factored in, but he is an elite player in an incredible environment. He's an electric, dynamic athlete who gets to the edge with ease. He racked up 1,567 total yards in 2023 and 18 total touchdowns last season. The Bills led the NFL in both EPA/Play and Rush EPA/Play last season.
