Hubbard seems to perform much better when someone else is expected to start. As the unquestioned starter last year. For the first time, he whiffed. Jonathan Brooks will challenge him this year. If he can stay healthy. Hubbard does have upside, but not that much on his draft slot

Hubbard serves as the early-season lead back for Dave Canales' run-heavy Carolina offense following Rico Dowdle's departure to Pittsburgh. While he should see steady volume out of the gate, his long-term ceiling is dependent on Jonathon Brooks' level of success in his return from his second ACL injury.

The rushing and receiving volume that fueled Hubbard's early-season 2025 production is set to shrink now that Jonathon Brooks is healthy. Without another Brooks injury, Hubbard offers little upside at his current ADP, and that was before he started dealing with a serious hamstring injury.

Hubbard may be slowing down if you look at his availability last year. Even if he isn't, Jonathon Brooks is the superior runner in every respect if the knees hold up.
Hubbard gives you a solid RB2/RB3 if called upon for this volume. Brooks may keep that from happening.
