Team hopeful for George Kittle in Week 1
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (Achilles) is doing very good in his rehab from a torn Achilles tendon, general manager John Lynch said Sunday, March 29, ahead of the NFL owners meetings. 'He's doing very good with his Achilles,' Lynch said. 'We're hopeful for Week 1. Some management during camp. He's progressing at a good rate.'
George Kittle good to go by Week 5?
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (Achilles) could reasonably return by Week 5 from his torn Achilles tendon, barring any setbacks. 'George will attack it in a great way,' general manager John Lynch said last week. 'We're very hopeful to have him back. I remember when I first started playing, you had an Achilles, and everybody's like, 'Oh man, that's tough. You're never the same.' That's not the case anymore.'

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (Achilles) said be believes he will return to the lineup before November and hopes to be able play closer to the start of the 2026 regular season.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (Achilles) will have surgery for his torn right Achilles tendon on Wednesday, Jan. 14. He suffered the injury in the team's NFC Wild Card game victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
