McLaughlin has speed to burn, excellent quickness, and he can run through tight creases. He lacks top-shelf power and contact balance. He also failed to prove to Sean Payton that he could be the lead back in Denver after a year to do so.
Expect McLaughlin, Tyler Badie, and Blake Watson to compete for the fourth spot on the depth chart. Watson is the most well-rounded back, and Badie and McLaughlin have the greatest boom-bust profiles.
