After missing Weeks 3-5, Cross returned in Week 5, posting a modest two solo tackles. However, Cross had a more ideal outing coming out of Washington’s Week 7 bye, playing all 69 defensive snaps, compiling nine tackles (5 solos) and a tackle for loss against Philadelphia in Week 8. Alignment-wise, Cross saw 43 of his 69 snaps up in the box, slot, and defensive line areas, per PFF. If available after his bye week and missing time with injury, Cross is a prime safety addition off the waiver wire.
