Staff Eliminator Picks, Week 3

Footballguys Staff's Staff Eliminator Picks, Week 3 Footballguys Staff Published 09/23/2021

This has been a very popular feature, so this year Footballguys once again is presenting the Eliminator Pool Challenge, where staffers have to pick a team to win each week.

Just one? That sounds easy, but here is the catch – you can only pick the team you choose in a given week once all season long.

Many contests and pools out there get pretty big, so an Eliminator (or Survivor) Pool can go 18 weeks.

Here are the specifics:

  • It lasts until one person is alive
  • Pick one winner per week
  • If you are correct, you stay alive
  • If you are wrong, you are eliminated
  • If you miss a week, you are eliminated
  • You can only use each NFL team once
  • If all of the people still alive lose, those people come back the following week
  • When one person remains (this person is the champion), the game will restart for fun

Notes

  • People with a blank selected a losing team and have been eliminated.
  • People marked with an "X" missed the pick deadline that week and have been eliminated.
  • One person had to drop out due to time constraints and has been removed

Last Week's Results

A perfect week! Everyone picked a winner.

Rarely can everyone be glad and sad at the same time, but that's exactly what happens when no one is eliminated in a survivor pool. Of course, you're glad you survived, but it's a bummer that you're not any closer to winning. You need other people to drop out to be the champ.

This Week's Picks

Despite there being 15 people still alive, only three teams were selected this week:

  • Carolina - 8 picks
  • Denver - 6 picks
  • Baltimore - 1 pick

This means Tuccitto is in the enviable position of actually having a chance to win the whole contest this weekend. He just needs Baltimore to win and get losses from the Panthers and Broncos.

Home vs. Road

  • Home picks
    • 1 team (Denver)
    • 8 picks total
  • Road picks
    • 2 teams (Baltimore and Carolina)
    • 7 picks total

Good luck this weekend!
