QUARTERBACKS

Theme of the Week: Russell Wilson, Zach Wilson

• Key trade idea: Russell Wilson for Carson Wentz, Christian Kirk

The sky is falling in Denver! It has certainly not been living up to the lofty expectations through three games, but Wilson has avoided turnovers and is a touchdown regression candidate with just two scores on more than 100 attempts, firmly lower than his career rate. Wentz is producing this year, but job security is still a significant question mark. In Superflex, upgrading profiles is a long-term value boon, and Wilson is priced in the mid-teens of the position by the construction of trades like this one.

• Key trade idea: Zach Wilson for Jordan Love, Wan'Dale Robinson, 24 third

Zach Wilson's return is looming, and the Jets offense has looked more functional than expected. Garrett Wilson has produced like a quality WR1 in his initial games, Breece Hall is mixing in well, and Corey Davis, Elijah Moore, and Tyler Conklin are still key contributors. Wilson was the most affordable of the 2021 Round 1 quarterbacks in the offseason and is still accessible in the market for QB18+ value.

RUNNING BACKS

Theme of the Week: Khalil Herbert, J.K. Dobbins

• Key trade idea: Herbert, Joshua Palmer, WanDale Robinson for Treylon Burks

Using Khalil Herbert as a package-up tool likely produces a better result than selling straight for another position or a future pick. David Montgomery has an ambiguous outlook on how much time, if any, he will miss.

Other trade ideas include Herbert and a 2nd for a 1st or dealing Herbert for a future 2nd plus another perceived lower value backup running back. One final one is Herbert for Tom Brady. Expect a rise in Brady's production as his weapons improve by midseason.
