Week 8 Results

Kansas City (vs Las Vegas) - 5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery

Gardner Minshew II was solid in this game and didn’t have any big mistakes. The Chiefs pass rush was still very good and one of the reasons they won the game. This was actually one of the best D/ST outputs in Week 9.

A Look Ahead: TB DEN @BUF - We’ll stick with the Chiefs for at least two more weeks.

Detroit (vs Tennessee) - 1 sack, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 INT, 1 ST TD

Here’s your Yahtzee of the week. Hopefully, you added them and got the added boost of Kalif Raymond’s punt return touchdown.

A Look Ahead: @GB @HOU JAX - No reason to go away from the Lions D/ST going forward.

Chicago (at Washington) - 2 sacks

Jayden Daniels rallying to play late in the week made this a poor play

A Look Ahead: @ARI NE GB - We’ll still stick with a D/ST that ranks in the top five to date.

Baltimore (at Cleveland) - 2 sacks, 1 fumble recovery

The Ravens defense made headlines in Week 8, but not for the reasons you hoped when you plugged them into your lineup. It still wasn’t a complete disaster.

A Look Ahead: DEN CIN @PIT - We’ll consider the Ravens, but Bo Nix is playing his best football of the season going into this one.

Green Bay (at Jacksonville) - 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery, 1 INT

The Packers defense was subpar in this one, and Trevor Lawrence had one of his best games of the year despite losing his top two wide receivers.

A Look Ahead: DET BYE @CHI - So long Packers D/ST.

Houston (vs Indianapolis) - 5 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 1 INT

Anthony Richardson was better than his box score, but that doesn’t take away from one of the best D/ST stat lines of the week.

A Look Ahead: @NYJ DET @DAL - Aaron Rodgers isn’t a preferred matchup, but this D/ST is hot, so we’ll likely stick with them unless an even better option is available.

Los Angeles Chargers (vs New Orleans) - 5 sacks, 8 points allowed

The Saints' backup quarterbacks didn’t turn the ball over, but they didn’t account for an offensive touchdown, either.

A Look Ahead: @CLE TEN @CIN - Jameis Winston is always a possible turnover machine, and the Titans are up next, so we’re sticking with the Chargers through at least Week 10.

Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda

It was National Tight End Day, not National Team Defense/Special Teams Day. The only other true D/ST hit in Week 8 was the Steelers D/ST, which should have been rostered going into Week 8.
