Staffers with Good Vibes

Andy Hicks: The combination of Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith will be interesting, but there is potential for a high-upside offense. This team will be a surprise packet to many.

Staffers with Neutral Vibes

  • Jason Wood: Mike Tomlin and the front office are the best at sustaining a high floor, but it’s unclear how they evolve into a legitimate title contender.
  • Kyle Bellefeuil: With Mike Tomlin running the show, the Steelers are always in the playoff mix. However, upgrading this to good is difficult without knowing how the quarterback position pans out with Russell Wilson or possibly Justin Fields
  • Chad Parsons: Russell Wilson and/or Justin Fields will be functional or better, but this continues to be a team centered more around being slightly above average from an NFL perspective than upside beyond that for NFL or fantasy purposes.
  • Julia Papworth: Mike Tomlin returns for his 17th season in Pittsburgh with the hopes of once again being a team to reckon with in the brutal AFC North. Will the shuffling of the quarterback room - the arrival of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields - do the trick?
  • Phil Alexander: The Steelers deserve kudos for remaking their quarterback room on the cheap. But it's hard to imagine either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields getting them over the hump in a competitive division.
  • Jeff Haseley: Although Mike Tomlin has an impeccable propensity to reach the playoffs I feel he'll have his work cut out for him in a busy and challenging AFC North
  • Ben Cummins: This offense will be average at best under Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and Arthur Smith but at least we know what they’re going to do. Run the ball repeatedly.
  • Nick Whalen: Pittsburgh improved the offensive line, which boosts all skill players but I don't see a high-end ceiling for this group.
  • Bob Harris: If nothing else, a change at quarterback (and they have two to choose from), a new playcaller, and some upgrades on the line offer hope for fantasy managers investing in this offense. But there are still questions (mostly at receiver) that make it hard to get too excited.
  • Leo Paciga: Improved O-line, functionality at QB, and the addition of Arthur Smith - who appears to be a better OC than HC - are reasons to be somewhat optimistic, but in a competitive AFC North, the expectations are still limited.
  • Ryan Weisse: It's hard to bet against the Steelers, and they have playmakers at all the relevant fantasy positions. But do we really want to bet on offensive coordinator Arthur Smith?

Staffers with Bad Vibes

  • None.
