Busts on the Denver Broncos
- RB RJ Harvey - 9 votes
- TE Evan Engram - 4 votes
- WR Marvin Mims Jr. - 2 votes
- S Talanoa Hufanga - 1 vote
- S Brandon Jones - 1 vote
- RB J.K. Dobbins - 1 vote
Reasons RB RJ Harvey Could Be a Bust
- Jason Wood: Harvey is being drafted as a fantasy starter and that doesn't reconcile with how I think the situation plays out. I don't think Denver signed J.K. Dobbins to be the backup; instead I expect Dobbins will be the lead in a multi-running back committee, with Harvey being more of a change-of-pace option in year one.
- David Zacharias: Harvey's rookie hype balloon burst with the arrival of J.K. Dobbins.
- Jeff Haseley: If Dobbins is the main back for Denver, that means R.J. Harvey will have a lesser role, and unfortunately, that's not indicative of where he is being drafted. Expectations are high, and people may be disappointed.
- Maurile Tremblay: ADP presumes feature touches that Dobbins and Payton's committee history may never allow.
- Julia Papworth: It will be a committee in Denver, no doubt, and although J.K. Dobbins is older, Denver wouldn't have signed him unless they were planning on using him. Harvey's ADP is assuming he is the RB1 out of the gate.
- Meng Song: ADP suggests a vast overconfidence in workload for Harvey. He's entering a committee backfield alongside a mobile quarterback who'll also vulture carries.
- Hutchinson Brown: Harvey is a talented prospect, but Sean Peyton has never wanted a bell cow back as an NFL head coach. This backfield will be a committee, so do not overpay for the hype.
- Craig Lakins: I'm skeptical that Harvey can deliver on his current ADP despite the hype. I'd be more comfortable taking him as an upside play in the middle rounds, but we haven't seen anything yet.
- Colton Dodgson: The J.K. Dobbins signing dampens the Harvey hype. Dobbins was explosive in 2024, and he's an effective pass blocker. He'll have a role, which limits the rookie's upside.
