We’re about to head out into the vast ocean of an NFL season. We will encounter storms and stretches of sunny, calm seas, but before we shove off, you might want to make some last-ditch offers in dynasty leagues to take advantage of buy-low/sell-high windows that are about to slam shut as we see the 2025 version of players and teams.
Buy Low
Zach Charbonnet (RB-SEA) - It’s hard to ignore all of the praise the coaching staff gives Charbonnet while Ken Walker III is going into a contract year. Charbonnet isn’t the top-end talent that Walker is, but he is efficient, tough, and much more durable than Walker. He could also be a lot cheaper to sign on a second contract. At some point this season - maybe early on - the conventional wisdom could switch to Charbonnet being the running back of the future in a Klint Kubiak running game with a strong defense to keep the team in run-heavy game scripts.
Jaylen Waddle (WR-MIA) - The Tyreek Hill trade buzz is not dying down as we head into the season. With a $29.9 million non-guaranteed salary next year and $5 million roster bonus due on the third day of the 2026 league year, you can count on Hill not being a Dolphin next season, if not sooner.
Daniel Jones (QB-IND) - Don’t laugh. This is only for superflex leagues, and only if you need someone to be your QB2 out of the gate for cheap. Jones can add value as a runner (and Shane Steichen isn’t shy about using his quarterback in the running game), and he has an ultra-talented group at WR/TE, not to mention a somewhat easy first month and a half of the year outside of the Broncos matchup in Week 2. We could be on the cusp of a short-lived Daniel Jones renaissance.
