Much of fantasy football's in-season team strategy centers around which players to pick up from the waiver wire or to target in the trade market. However, roster spots are a premium (and finite) resource. Cutting a player - or adding them to a trade - opens a roster spot for a key waiver wire addition or the flexibility to keep a currently injured player through a missed game or two. Here are the key players to cut or trade after Week 14:

WR Keenan Allen, LA Chargers
Why: Keenan Allen has had one good game since Week 3. The 28-point outburst in Week 7 was the last time Allen saw more than six targets in a game, and Allen's low-upside profile needs monster volume to hit a difference-making number. The Chargers have a myriad of targets, plus Omarion Hampton returned to the lineup in the backfield in Week 14.
TE David Njoku, Cleveland
Why: The past month has been an even larger divide between David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr. than earlier in the season. Fannin is TE6, and Njoku, even with scoring a touchdown in Week 14, is TE52 in PPG. Njoku's knee injury in Week 14 may not force him to miss games, but Njoku should be far from lineups, outside of start-2TE type formats. Njoku is limping into 2026 free agency as Fannin takes over the depth chart. Njoku is a quality offseason buy-low in dynasty, but a roster-clogging option to finish the 2025 season.
