At Footballguys, we're proud of the knowledgeable, passionate team we've assembled. These fantasy football minds excel at breaking down and explaining complex ideas for readers, listeners, and viewers alike.

It's what we're built on.

So when our staff earns industry-wide recognition, it's something to celebrate.

On February 8, the Fantasy Sports Writers Association (FSWA) announced the finalists for its 2024 Writing and Media Awards. Nearly 1,000 submissions were received across 23 categories, and the winners were judged through a rigorous blind review process. The competition was fierce, and the recognition well-earned.

We're proud to announce that two Footballguys mainstays are among the finalists in major categories.

Football Article Of The Year

Adam Harstad and Gary Davenport are finalists for Football Article of the Year.

Davenport, a two-time FSWA Football Writer of the Year (one of only three writers to earn that distinction more than once in the organization's history), is in the running this year for his article Last-Place Punishments

"I've been nominated for quite a few awards," said Davenport, who has been a finalist a dozen times over the last 10 years, with multiple wins. "But when I say it's an honor to be a finalist each and every time, that's not a canned response. It's true."

Harstad gets a spot on this list for an installment of his Dynasty in Theory series, Who Do You Trust?

"While success in this industry is ultimately measured by the accomplishments of our readers, it's always a bit humbling to find that we've earned the recognition and respect of our peers in the process," Harstad, the 2023 FSWA Football Writer of the Year, said.

Best Football Ongoing Series

Dynasty in Theory also earned Adam a finalist spot in the Best Football Ongoing Series category.

The FSWA judges reviewed three pieces from the 2024 Dynasty in Theory collection before including Harstad in elite territory:

Congratulations to Adam and Gary on this well-deserved recognition -- we’re proud to have them on the Footballguys team!
