He's officially back!
After weeks of speculation and multiple workouts at their facility, Aaron Donald is back in a Rams jersey. Donald signed a one-year, $20 million deal, with incentives that can push it to $30 million. With the likes of Donald, Myles Garrett, Byron Young, and Kobie Turner, the Rams defensive line is pure nightmare fuel for opposing offenses. Even with two years away from the game, I have Donald currently projected as my DT6 heading into the season. It's a joyous time for us IDP gamers to see the future Hall of Famer one more time.
IDP News: LB Jacob Rodriguez, Miami
With the release of Tyrel Dodson, it's full-go for rookie Jacob Rodriguez.
In a bit of a surprise, Miami decided to release veteran linebacker Tyrel Dodson on cut day. They are handing the reins to highly anticipated rookie Jacob Rodriguez to wear the green dot alongside Jordyn Brooks. It was only a matter of time until Rodriguez unseated Dodson, and now we have that answer before the season starts. With his athleticism, tackling prowess, and knack for splash plays, Rodriguez is built for IDP production. He might be a rookie, but this kid doesn't play like one. Now with a definite full-time gig locked in, I have Rodriguez projected as my LB14 heading into the season. Let's get it, rookie.
IDP News: Carolina LBs
Carolina signs Bobby Okereke to a one-year deal and releases Trevin Wallace.
Bobby Okereke finally finds a home, signing a one-year deal with Carolina. In corresponding moves, the Panthers decided to release linebacker Trevin Wallace and add Tyrel Dodson to their practice squad after his release. Devin Lloyd will don the green dot for the Carolina defense. However, vying to be his counterpart will be Okereke, Dodson, and Claudin Cherelus. If you want to take a shot amongst the group, Okereke feels like the best choice. However, this would be only for deeper-roster IDP leagues. This will be a unit to monitor as the season takes shape.
