IDP Stock Market Week 3

The NFL season is starting to look like itself. New players are either locking down roles or getting squeezed out of the game plan. A few savvy veterans are reminding everyone they still belong among the elite, while others are sliding toward the background. The market has no feelings, though. It is just a weekly look at who is rising and who is falling. That movement is not always easy to swallow, but it is the information you need to keep a roster tight and championship-ready. This week is no different. It's time to ring the bell.

LB Devin Lloyd: There is no denying what Devin Lloyd is doing right now. The numbers speak for themselves: 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, three passes defended, a sack, and a touchdown through two weeks. You quite literally cannot ask for a better start than that. Carolina's linebacker room came into camp with more questions than answers, and Lloyd has answered the loudest one. He has a real role; he is making plays all over the field, and IDP managers should ride this wave until it cools off. Nobody wants it to slow down, but keep this in mind: he is currently pacing for record numbers across the board. Enjoy it while the market is this hot.

LB Edgerrin Cooper: We knew coming into the season that Edgerrin Cooper was a fantastic IDP asset. The worry was never talent. It was the personnel change around him. When Green Bay moved on from Quay Walker, a productive IDP linebacker in his own right, there was a legitimate question about whether Cooper would be asked to do something different in this defense. Different role, different production. That concern has not shown up on the field. We are still looking at the same dominant linebacker managers dream of rostering. If you can get him, he is a must-have. If you already have him, treat that spot like it has a no-trade clause.

EDGE Will Anderson: Edge rusher is a delicate position because managers get tempted by names more than production. Will Anderson had both last season, then opened this year quieter than a lot of people wanted. He is awake now, and he looks as good as he has ever been. Last week's explosion against Cincinnati is exactly what you expect from an All-Pro edge rusher: eight tackles, three tackles for loss, a pass defended, and a sack. He is a do-it-all player who rarely gets skunked in the box score and can tilt a matchup in your favor at a moment's notice. Right now, Anderson deserves the crown as the league's best edge rusher, especially with Myles Garrett still waiting to make his presence felt for the Rams.

EDGE Greg Rousseau: It is hard not to get excited about what Greg Rousseau has done through two weeks. Seven solo tackles, four sacks, and a pass defended from seemingly out of nowhere. The talent has always been there. The trust has not. Last season, Rousseau had 11 games with three tackles or fewer. Five of those still included a sack, but that is a tough floor to live with in IDP. So enjoy this stretch; just do not heap a new identity on him after two games. Ride the wave the same way you would with Devin Lloyd, then stay ready if the production settles. One more note: he is already well on his way to topping his career high of eight sacks, which he hit in both 2022 and 2024.

DT Leonard Williams: Ole reliable is a cliché for a reason. Some players age gracefully and bloom later than the draft board suggested they would. Leonard Williams is a perfect example. He arrived as a lauded sixth-overall pick with the Jets, but he never really became the IDP difference-maker managers hoped for until he changed teams and moved inside. That shift to the interior of the defensive line changed everything. Williams is no longer just a name. He is a truly dominant defender at the line of scrimmage, and the production has followed. Three straight seasons with 60-plus tackles and five-plus sacks, and he is already on his way to matching those numbers again. Whether you play true-position IDP or a more relaxed group format, he is a set-and-forget starter.
