Sleepers at Quarterback
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona (vs Detroit)
The Lions have allowed 11 passing scores and 1308 passing yards to the four quarterbacks they faced so far this season. Josh Allen had the lowest yardage output with 248, but he also ran for two scores. Tyler Shough threw two picks against them, but he also threw for 410 yards and three scores. Only Josh Allen has outscored "quarterbacks facing Detroit this season", and Brissett has the weapons and mindset to keep that going.
Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta (vs Baltimore)
If you need a quarterback from a thin waiver wire to replace Bryce Young or Patrick Mahomes II, Penix could be your answer. He only threw one score last week, but his offense was response for six in total. The offense has generated 29 red zone opportunities in the last two games; only five have gone to Penix. That could change and give Penix a high ceiling in any given week.
Tyson Bagent, Chicago (at Green Bay)
If you think the Falcons' 29 red zone opportunities in the last two weeks are impressive, the Bears generated 28 red zone opportunities last week alone vs. the Jets. Bagent didn't throw any touchdown passes, but if the Bears offense is anywhere near as good against the Packers on the road this week, he should throw at least one, and could rack up multiple scores against a defense that allowed two touchdowns to a team starting a UDFA rookie quarterback last week.
Jalon Daniels, Tampa Bay (at Dallas) **Thursday**
Speaking of that rookie UDFA starting quarterback, he'll be at the helm again Thursday night against the Cowboys. The Cowboys' pass defense is one of the worst in the league, and their offense has a good chance to build a lead after putting up 34 points on Houston last week. That should loosen up that Cowboys defense even more, especially in the second half, giving Daniels more chances to hit as an upside streaming QB1 or QB2/Superflex play.
