We're almost a month into the college football season, and things are getting spicy. Lane Kiffin just lost in glorious fashion to Ole Miss. Multiple high-profile players in the 2027 dynasty rookie rankings are dealing with injuries (none appear serious), adding more uncertainty to the middle of the rankings. That Darian Mensah guy seems pretty good, and the quarterback hype is a rollercoaster at this point in the season.
With a sample size of three weeks, the rankings needed some adjusting - and some new names appear on the list as it expands to 36. Biggest Movers
With any good rankings update, it's important to highlight the movers. Some guys have really stood out through three weeks of play, and some look like completely different players than they were over summer scouting (not in a good way). Let's take a look at some of the biggest movers in the new 2027 dynasty rookie rankings.
Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida - Stock Up
It might be early, but I've seen enough. Baugh is fast and physical with prototypical size to be a bell cow at the next level. There were two things we were waiting on for him to ascend from a good to a great prospect.
First, explosive rushes. Through 12 games last year, he only had explosive (greater than 15-yard) rushes 17 times for 315 yards. Through three games this year, he already has seven for 281 yards. In simpler terms, he's hitting bigger plays and hitting those bigger plays more often.
Second, we want to see him used more as a receiver. Those who don't want him as an early first prospect will point to this as his glaring red flag. I'll say that he already has triple the college receptions of Ken Walker III, and he hasn't been needed as a receiver because he's too busy scoring 53-yard touchdowns against SEC competition.
