Scouting Report
Adam Randall was recruited as a wide receiver. In spring practice before his freshman year, he suffered a torn ACL. He returned that year, but only managed 10 receptions. He spent his sophomore and junior seasons buried on the depth chart. A pivotal moment came in 2024 when injuries in Clemson's backfield forced Randall into emergency running back duty, where he excelled. In 2025, the team transitioned him to running back, where he broke out in a major way. His 1,068 scrimmage yards were sixth-most in the ACC, and he established himself as a reliable every-down running back.
Randall is a bludgeoning athlete, using size and physicality over nuance. Being new to the position, he doesn't always read his gaps as designed. He can overcome poor decisions with brute force, but will likely need some time to develop into an NFL-ready back. His background as a receiver allows for sharp routes and soft hands out of the backfield. Randall may be relegated to schemed touches early in his career, but his blend of size, power, speed, and aggression could make him a fun target for a creative and patient coaching staff.
Rundown
Rundown: Randall is a converted wide receiver with impressive size and power, but he’ll need to learn patience in letting blocks develop to become a true three-down back.
