Scouting Report
Caleb Douglas started his career at Florida, emerging as a starter opposite Ricky Pearsall to begin his true sophomore campaign in 2023. A fractured fibula ended his season and Florida career after five games. Douglas hit the portal seeking a better passing offense and moved back home to Texas. He reunited with coach Joey McGuire, who had recruited him previously at Baylor, where Douglas initially committed before flipping. He emerged as a key receiver over the last two seasons; his 1,723 yards led the team over that span. Douglas earned All-Big 12 second team honors in 2025 and a spot in the Senior Bowl. He comes from a football family; his father, Cedric, played quarterback at Vanderbilt.
Douglas is a towering receiver with good movement skills for his size. He has the versatility teams crave when rounding out a receiver room, playing both outside and in the slot, and impacting the passing game at all three depths. Vertically, he can outplay defensive backs in the air, translating as a red-zone threat. He transitions quickly and is comfortable after the catch. Douglas is worth watching throughout the draft process and is a legitimate threat to land on Day 2.
Rundown
Douglas brings length and fluidity with the versatility to play outside and stretch the field or inside as a big slot. Douglas is underrated in the 2026 class and has traits that could round out most receiver rooms.
