Scouting Report
Jack Endries went from walk-on to potential NFL starter in four years. He was a three-star recruit and also played basketball and baseball. Despite his three-star status, he walked onto California and redshirted a season. He became the clear starter for the next two seasons and led the team in receiving in 2024 with Fernando Mendoza at quarterback. Endries entered the transfer portal and committed to the University of Texas to finish out his college career. He had to leave the Shrine Bowl practices early due to an undisclosed injury.
Endries' best receiving tape was at Cal. He ran crisp, fundamentally sound routes and seemed to have a mind meld with Mendoza, attacking open space. Endries is a bit tight in the hips and is not a sudden athlete by any means. He has better long speed than he gets credit for, but takes some time to giddy up and go. The entire Texas offense was haphazard for most of 2025, but Endries made solid strides as a run defender despite his lack of production in the air. He's a jack-of-all-trades, master of none type of tight end.
Rundown
Endries is a tight end prospect straight out of 2004 who can play with his hand in the dirt but still provide value in the receiving game.
