Scouting Report
Robert Henry Jr. drew little recruiting buzz despite rushing for over 7,000 yards and 99 touchdowns in high school. He started his college career at Jones College, leading the nation in JUCO rushing and earning National Offensive Player of the Year honors. He transferred to UTSA for his junior year and immediately handled 146 touches. His role steadily grew over the next three seasons, culminating in a breakout 2025 redshirt senior year, when he turned in his first 1,000-yard season.
Henry is a one-cut runner who uses exceptional vision and decisiveness to find cutback lanes and create big plays. He had runs of 74-plus yards in each of the first four games this season. He's a compact runner with a stout frame, and he lowers his pads to generate gains through contact. Henry is a functional receiver, but it's an area for improvement. His enthusiasm sometimes leads to poor decisions, resulting in negative plays. The same overzealousness often leaves him chipping blitzers rather than setting a strong anchor. Once in a rhythm, though, Henry's vision, explosiveness, and ability to make defenders miss can quickly flip the field.
Rundown
Henry is a dynamic athlete who can score from anywhere, but he'll need to refine his passing-game skills to become a three-down back.
