Scouting Report
Romello Brinson was a Top 150 prospect from the Miami football factory, Miami Northwestern. He stayed local, starting his career with Miami, where he served as a depth player his first two seasons. In 2023, he followed his former offensive coordinator, Rhett Lashlee, after Lashlee took the head coaching job with SMU. His 2024 was cut short by a knee injury, but he delivered his best season in 2025. His production profile is modest; he worked primarily as a secondary receiver with the SMU offense leaning harder on fellow 2026 prospect Jordan Hudson.
Brinson is a long, wiry outside receiver. He frequently served as a field stretcher, delivering multiple highlight-level plays in which his length was a difference-maker. He is very light, especially given his status as a fifth-year player, and may struggle against NFL defensive backs in press coverage. He did show good concentration and hand-eye coordination. Brinson profiles as a depth receiver who is likely to land on Day 3. Absent significant development, he does not profile as an impact fantasy contributor.
Rundown
Brinson is an experienced receiver with good length. He profiles as a depth player best suited for a supporting role in need of significant development to become an impact fantasy contributor.
