Scouting Report
Truman Werremeyer had a prolific three-sport high school career in Fargo, but drew little recruiting buzz. He walked on at North Dakota State. After redshirting his first year (2021), he began carving out a role as a reserve in 2022 and, in 2023, played in all 15 games. He helped the Bison establish themselves as a strong run-first offense, serving as their primary fullback.
Werremeyer has the makings of an NFL fullback. He's a physical and willing blocker who plays with reckless abandon. He's an unselfish and fierce competitor who also contributes as a special teamer. His academic honors mirror an on-field cerebral approach, where he can adapt to different schemes. Werremeyer didn't handle a single carry over his college career, but managed a target every few games. He is a pure fullback on offense.
Rundown
Werremeyer has the size and strength to be a team's primary tight end, but will offer no value in any fantasy formats.
Player Comp
Anthony Sherman
NFL Range of Outcomes
Special Teamer to Pro Bowler
