FanDuel: Week 4 Spotlight

Footballguys Staff's FanDuel: Week 4 Spotlight Footballguys Staff Published 09/29/2015

Another week is in the books, but the fantasy football season is just getting warmed up. The place to play one-week fantasy football is FanDuel and this weekly spotlight is the place to go to find out what’s happening each week.

Special Announcement

NFL Survivor Tournament

Las Vegas isn’t just for high rollers when FanDuel’s running the show! Their $250,000 Survivor is a small stakes player’s dream come true with a $5 entry fee and $25,000 lined up for first place. All finalists will be flown out to Las Vegas in style to compete in the live final at the Cosmopolitan. On October 4th, the rounds begin. Enter Round 1 for just $5 per entry and if you finish in the top 43,000 players in Round 1, then you'll advance to Round 2. Keep advancing to the final round and you'll win a trip for two to Las Vegas!

Sunday Contests

The Sunday contests include FanDuel’s largest tournaments. These begin at 1pm ET on Sunday and include all of the Sunday NFL games plus the Monday night games.

Footballguys FanDuel Championship

It’s just $10 to play and the top-500 (out of 1,130) double up their cash each week. Plus Footballguys’ own Joe Bryant, David Dodds, and Sigmund Bloom will be entering the contest too. And if you finish ahead of those three, you’ll be playing in a final round in Week 11 that offers $40,000 in FREE prizes. You do not want to miss out on this contest and it filled up early again last week. Play now!

Sunday Million

FanDuel's largest prize pool is once again the Sunday Million, but that doesn't mean the prize pool has stayed the same. Instead, that prize pool has grown from $5 Million to $6 Million. And the best part is that it's still just $25 to enter and first place still wins $1 Million. All that extra money that got added to the prize pool trickles down and will hit the pockets of the top-55,300 entries. As a warning, this contest filled last week, so not everyone was able to enter. Play now!

Sunday Rush

The Sunday Rush keeps getting bigger and better! It's still just $5 to enter, but the total prizes has grown from $1.5 Million to $2 Million and the first place prize has risen from $100,000 to $150,000. And all you need to do is finish among the top-90,800 entries to win cash. This contest has filled early every week, so be sure to enter sooner than later. Play now!

Thursday Contests

While Thursday contests normally have a smaller prize pool than the Sunday contests, they're still no slouch (as you'll find out below) and they include ALL of the NFL games each week. For insight into strategy that's specific to Thursday contests, check out this article by Footballguys' own Phil Alexander.

Thu NFL Bomb

If you enjoy the Sunday Million, the Thu NFL Bomb is its little sister. It's just $25 to play and there's now $400,000 in total prizes. First place will take home a $40,000 of those total prizes, which leaves plenty more cash for the other entries that crack the top-3,590.Play now!

Thu NFL Rush

Leading the way for the Thursday slate on FanDuel is the Thu NFL Rush, which measures in at $700,000 in total prizes. At just $5 to play, it's certainly worth a look (or maybe two). And the top-30,550 will win cash with $75,000 to first place. Play now!

Sunday Afternoon Contests

FanDuel will also have Sunday Afternoon contests each week. These are posted soon after the Sunday games with a 1pm ET start time begin. Be sure to check back in the lobby if you're looking to get in on the afternoon excitement!

World Fantasy Football Championship

College Football Contests

FanDuel offers college football contests throughout the week with a variety of different options. The best place to check them all out is the lobby, but a couple highlights are below.

CFB Hail Mary

The Hail Mary is FanDuel's premier college football contest. It's just $25 to play and boasts the largest prize pool of the college slates. There's not only a Hail Mary for Saturday, but Thursday too. Play now!

Playboy's College Football Championship

Do you have what it takes to book one of 70 trip packages to sunny Los Angeles for the ultimate college football showdown? The Mansion awaits - along with a hefty prize of $100,000 for first place! Punch your ticket in the weekly qualifier contests that'll run every week from now until early November. Those contests will be offered at a bunch of different entry fees and you can always find the upcoming schedule here.
