I am not usually a big fan of investing first round picks in redraft on rookie running backs, but its hard to see a downside to taking Ashton Jeanty so high. should live up to the hype.

Should be the centerpiece of the Raiders offense immediately, and has a 3-down skill set to remain on the field in all packages.

He has the skills to be the best back in the league. College didn't stop him. Will the pros?

Ashton Jeanty is the top rookie talent on the board. He has the chance to become a special runner in the NFL. Pete Carroll wants to run the ball.

So why am I lower on Jeanty relative to ADP? I don't expect Jeanty to earn more than 230 attempts. Between Raheem Mostert, Sincere McCormick, and Zamir White, Carroll and company will find a LenDale White to complement this modern day Reggie Bush.

If you're seeking 1,300-1,500 yards of offense and 10-12 scores from the rookie, you're in the right place. It will likely take more production than this for Jeanty to recoup his current valuation in the draft community this year.

Should get every opportunity to flash as a lead back.

First-round pick paired with Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly. 2,739 total yards and 30 touchdowns last season. Comp: If Melvin Gordon and Dalvin Cook had a baby.

Jeanty is a great prospect who projects for an immense workload in Las Vegas’ zone-read offense.

We don't know a lot about how he will fare as a pro, but the history of backs selected in the top 10 puts him in good company. Throw in a likely RB-focused system with Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly, and Jeanty has the talent to finish in the top 5 as a rookie.

He'll be the lead back in a system likely to lean on him. Given the role and the talent, expect him to land among the league leaders in touches.

Its hard to see a downside to taking Ashton Jeanty so high. Unless reports indicate issues, should live up to the hype. Those with the number one pick in dynasty have a safe option.
