Mendoza could deliver fantasy value during the second half of the season, if he supplants Kirk Cousins as the starter. This is likely, considering that the Raiders may still be 1-2 years away from becoming a contender.
Mendoza reads the field well, has a knack for placing the ball in contested scenarios, and he is a better runner than characterized. The Raiders offensive line should be much better under Klint Kubiak and with Tyler Linderbaum at center.
Still, expect enough growing pains from Mendoza and the rest of the team that we won't see Mendoza earn consistent production until 2027.

Mendoza's not much of a runner, which caps his upside. I see him as a low-end QB2 for the immediate future. He's far and away the QB1 of this rookie class, but I'd have to be pretty desperate at QB to take him over Jeremiah Love if I had the 1.01 in a rookie draft.
