Isaiah Likely

Isaiah Likely played second banana to Mark Andrews for all those years. People are overestimating the numbers for Likely and underestimating them for Johnson. Last year was a particularly poor year, with career lows on all numbers. For the same head coach he has now.

After signing a three-year, $40 million contract to join John Harbaugh in New York, Likely is set for a productive slot-heavy role in Jaxson Dart's passing offense that gives him legitimate top-ten fantasy upside.

Likely wins the acrobatic catches and has experience connecting with a good off-script quarterback in Lamar Jackson. Jaxson Dart will force Likely to make acrobatic plays downfield, and Dart has some strengths in the off-script phase of quarterbacking. 

The big question is whether we'll see Likely in a detached role in three-receiver sets or only when the team presents two tight ends. If Likely is the defacto slot receiver in this offense, he could replace a lot of Wan'Dale Robinson's value -- think 800-1,000 yards as a surprising ceiling of potential. 

It's wiser to expect Likely earning 400-600 yards. The appropriate ceiling baked within that expectation is a touchdown total that elevates him to the cusp of fantasy TE1 value in most formats. 

These expectations may change based on what we learn about Likely's deployment in camp.
