Jaxson Dart had meniscus and MCL fixed; playoff return 'a little ambitious'
Giants QB Jaxson Dart had his meniscus and MCL repaired in surgery, while his PCL did not require surgical repair. Head coach John Harbaugh said the doctor told him Dart's surgery "went well." Asked about Dart getting back for the playoffs, Harbaugh said, "Maybe that's a little ambitious."
Joe Flacco shoots down Giants trade rumors: 'It's obviously not real and not true'
Bengals QB Joe Flacco dismissed speculation linking him to a trade to the Giants following Jaxson Dart's knee injury, telling The Cincinnati Enquirer late Thursday, "It's obviously not real and not true." Flacco added, "I just get a kick out of it. I haven't really given it too much thought at this point." The 41-year-old signed a one-year deal worth $9 million with incentives in March to back up Joe Burrow. Giants QB Jameis Winston, who replaced Dart, completed 11-of-27 passes for 111 yards and an interception in Monday night's 28-6 loss to the Rams.
Jaxson Dart undergoing surgery Friday, believed to be meniscus and MCL repair
Giants QB Jaxson Dart will undergo knee surgery on Friday, September 25, ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported. The procedure is believed to be a meniscus and MCL repair. Coach John Harbaugh told reporters this week that Dart is expected to miss the regular season. Dart was placed on injured reserve on Thursday.

Giants QB Jaxson Dart will undergo knee surgery on Friday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, The Athletic's Dan Duggan reported. Dart will have a full meniscus repair, the primary injury, and the surgeon will also address his MCL and PCL if necessary. His recovery timeline is expected to be four-to-six months, meaning he could possibly return for the postseason if New York qualifies.
