Jaxson Dart

Until he reins in his recklessness, he’s going to keep getting punished by opposing defenses. And miss games. His fantasy stats primarily came from nine rushing touchdowns. The new coaching group will want him to run, but much more smartly. They would also expect more rushing touchdowns to go to the running back group. As a passer, he isn’t going to be a fantasy starter on the back of that, although the return of Malik Nabers will help.

New OC/Playcaller Matt Nagy has been a mixed bag

Dart enters his second season as the undisputed starter under a new coaching staff led by John Harbaugh. His dual-threat playstyle gives him a high fantasy floor, but he must protect himself better after injuries limited his rookie campaign. If Malik Nabers can return healthy, Dart has top-5 quarterback upside.

His fantasy numbers painted a better picture than his play last season. With defenses adjusting, the Giants planning to reduce his rushing workload, and John Harbaugh's preference to lean on his defense and running game, a sophomore slump is the most likely outcome.

I haven't been a fan of Dart. He's a decent scrambler and runner who can create off-sciprt.

Dart also has good shallow-range accuracy and intermediate accuracy as long as the throw is no deeper than 25 yards from his pitch point. 

Beyond 25 yards, Dart's accuracy suffers. He also lacks efficient movement inside the pocket to extend plays for receivers without forcing them to reroute. 

I don't expect these skills to improve this year, if at all. The Giants are trying to correct the symptoms of his pocket problems by ending the play in practice when Dart leaves the pocket. 

The root problem may prove more difficult and time-consuming to address. Add to the mix that Malik Nabers might not return to top-form until next year and security blanket, Wan'Dale Robinson is in Tennessee, and I'm not feeling Dart's ceiling of potential in 2026.
