Addison will face heavy target competition from newly signed Juaun Jennings and especially Justin Jefferson in an offense now led by Kyler Murray. His fantasy appeal will likely be very touchdown-dependent.

Addison is a volatile fantasy prospect this year, at best. He's technically the second option in the passing game.
In reality, that pecking order might look significant worse or significantly better with Kyler Murray under center. Only once in Murray's NFL career has he supported more than one fantasy starter in his receiving corps.
Tre McBride told the media this offseason that one of the reasons Marvin Harrison saw fewer targets from Murray is that Murray often skipped Harrison as the first read and went directly to McBride.
We can presume this has to do with a lack of trust in Harrison, but it could also be about how Murray handles pressure. If it's the former, Addison could be locked out from starter production. If it's the latter, Addison could be Option 1 at Justin Jefferson's expense. In Arizona it was the TE, so that contigency option might be T.J. Hockenson.
The hope is Murray learns to distribute better and elevate everyone.

He's a two-time fantasy WR2 coming off a disappointing season, weighed down by poor QB play. His long-term outlook depends on Minnesota having a true franchise QB or signing elsewhere once his rookie deal expires after 2027. His off-field activities, which have previously led to suspensions and a disciplinary benching, pose additional risk. Can he be a team's WR1? The upside bet is "yes." The downside is he may not consistently deliver anything beyond fantasy WR4-level production.
