We are proud to be among the first, if not the first, to publish full projections for the upcoming season, going live just days after the Super Bowl. Publishing detailed projections in early February comes with trade-offs, not the least of which is a near-total lack of clarity on how free agency, cap transactions, and the NFL draft will reshape rosters.

We've been updating our projections in near real time, including during the recent onslaught of free-agent transactions. This version will remain largely stable until we can layer in the April NFL draft, but stable projections don't mean settled debates.

We have a staff of sharp analysts with sharp takes of their own, so I thought it would be worthwhile to solicit their views on the key coin-toss situations that will shape each team's outlook in the coming months. These are important questions where reasonable, informed people can credibly land in very different places. I asked my colleagues to weigh in with one assumption: they were answering strictly through the lens of a standard 0.5-PPR redraft league.

Minnesota Vikings Coin-Toss Questions

Jordan Addison was a Top 30 fantasy receiver in 2023 and 2024, but fell off along with the rest of the Vikings last year. With Jalen Nailor gone and Kyler Murray under center, where do you rank Addison this year?

Maurile Tremblay: Addison's 2025 was marred by a three-game suspension, a Week 5 disciplinary benching, six drops, and a January 2026 trespassing charge. The Vikings nonetheless picked up his fifth-year option and view him as the unquestioned WR2. With Kyler Murray expected to elevate the entire passing game, I'd put Addison in the WR30-WR40 tier. He's only 23, and the talent is evident when he's focused. But the floor remains uncomfortable, given that Addison's worst enemy has consistently been himself.

Meng Song: I'd rank Addison in the WR4 range, around WR40 to WR48. While Murray might be an upgrade over the Vikings' 2025 quarterback situation, there will likely be fewer pass attempts overall given his mobility. Plus, Addison's ceiling alongside a healthy Jefferson is the No. 2 target in Minnesota, whereas there are other wide receivers in that range who have a chance to lead their respective teams in target share in 2026.

Andy Hicks: Addison was suspended to start 2025 and came back with 18 catches for 283 yards and a touchdown in his first three games. From Week 8 onward, he was ranked 43rd. He is a better player than that, and the Vikings think so too, having exercised his fifth-year option. With Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson also expected to see below-talent numbers, Addison will surely join that group. I would put Addison right at a WR36 ranking before the draft. Murray is not the solution to this problem.

Jeff Haseley: I put Addison in the WR3 tier. Without Jalen Nailor, he's the clear No. 2, and while Jefferson will hog the targets, Addison's efficiency should skyrocket with Kyler's ability to extend plays. The biggest concern regarding Addison is the uncertainty of his behavior off the field.
