Tetairoa McMillan

McMillan should be primed for an improved second season, but until he does I have concerns. Jalen Coker is capable of being more than his numbers indicate and McMillan has limitations that hopefully have been addressed in the offseason.

McMillan comes off an impressive 1,014-yard, Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign as Bryce Young’s top target in Carolina. McMillan offers a high-volume floor and elite ceiling as the top target of the Panthers' passing game.

The WR17 finish McMillan posted last season is close to the ceiling for a Bryce Young passing offense. It's difficult to project a meaningful statistical leap in Year 2.

I expected to increase McMillan's numbers and ranking this year if the Panthers move McMIllan inside ala 2025 Drake London. Playing the big slot role is the best fit for McMillan, who thrived against zone but couldn't defeat press-man. 

As of training camp, this is exactly what is happening, but the loss of Chris Brazzell for the year to an LCL tear may change that. 

This press-man weakness was the knock on McMillan at Arizona, and he did nothing to prove he could do it in the pros. The addition of Chris Brazzell would have made it easier for Carolina to move McMillan inside more often

If this still happens, McMillan could become a perennial top-12 fantasy option. 

Finished at WR16 as a rookie, and all signs point to Year 2 improvement. He is easily the best player in this offense and should see a high target share.
