Nick Emmanwori active for Week 2 vs. Cardinals, making 2026 debut
Seahawks.com reports that safety Nick Emmanwori, who underwent ankle surgery prior to training camp and was listed as questionable, is active for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals, marking his 2026 debut. Also active is receiver Tory Horton, who missed the opener with a hamstring injury and will play for the first time since Week 9 of last season. Seattle will be without quarterback Sam Darnold, safety Ty Okada and right guard Anthony Bradford, all ruled out due to injury; Drew Lock will make his first start for the Seahawks since 2023, Christian Haynes will make his first career start in place of Bradford, and Rodney Thomas II was elevated from the practice squad to fill in for Okada.
Kupp limited with back injury, Horton full go, Emmanwori limited Wednesday
Seahawks.com reports that Seattle WR Cooper Kupp was a limited participant in Wednesday, September 16 practice due to a back injury as the team prepares for its Week 2 game vs. the Cardinals. Also limited were guard Anthony Bradford (knee) and tackle Josh Jones (knee), while safety Nick Emmanwori (ankle, hip) was limited after not practicing at all last week. WR Tory Horton, who battled a hamstring injury, was a full participant. QB Sam Darnold (hip) did not practice and has already been ruled out for Week 2 by head coach Mike Macdonald, while safety Ty Okada (hamstring) also sat out.
