Franklin is a big-play threat vertically and after the catch who had an up-and-down rookie year. He has performed the expected offseason training to get in better shape for the rigors of the NFL, and the hope is that Franklin will take the next step and become a big-play starter for the Broncos.
Expect Franklin's targets to lag behind the likes of Courtland Sutton, and Evan Engram.
Franklin has a boom-bust profile. He could emerge and see northward of 75 targets, or remain stuck in a contributing role south of 50 targets.
With Devaughn Vele traded to the Saints, I'm bullish on Franklin closing in on 75 targets.
Ben Cummins
Has now played with Bo Nix for three straight seasons. Posted 61 for 891 and 9 in 2022 and 81 for 1,383 and 14 in 2023 with Nix in college. Very good athlete who ran a 4.41 40-yard dash and posted a 39" vertical. Has the skillset to take the top off the defense.
