Whether it's age, talent, a coaching change, or just an unreasonable price, there's always a time to sell a player in dynasty leagues. Some sells are just about getting value before a player retires and fades into the mist, while some are about maximizing return while a player is at their peak and about to come crashing back to earth. Let's take a look at eight players you should sell now in your dynasty leagues.

QB Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Starting strong on the dynasty sell list, this isn't to say Lamar Jackson is going to disappear as a fantasy asset. This is to say that the market's valuation of Jackson doesn't match the risk and current output. We've seen quarterbacks with an affinity for running age a little worse than those who don't, and either his playstyle will change, or he'll continue to play less than full seasons. While Josh Allen is seemingly bulletproof, we've seen Jackson's rushing lead to injury. Would we value pocket passer Lamar Jackson as the QB4? It may be time to pivot while he still has first-round startup value.
WR DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
Last year was likely the best-case scenario for projecting volume to Metcalf he'll ever have. Now he's facing greater target competition, a similar or worse quarterback situation, and Father Time is going to really put a wet blanket on any chance of a dynasty bounce-back. If Michael Pittman Jr. emerges as the top target earner in an Aaron Rodgers offense, then Metcalf will lose any value. Don't let him be on your roster if that happens.
RB David Montgomery, Houston Texans
I actually like what the Texans have done to address their offensive line this offseason, and I expect them to do so again in the 2026 NFL draft. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean that 29-year-old Montgomery isn't slightly mispriced. He's inside the top 30 running backs in dynasty, but is likely a one- or two-year option who offers little in the receiving game, with a clear receiving back on the roster. Identifying when to start him will be frustrating, and if you're loading for a rebuild, Montgomery doesn't fit the timeline or the upside and should be a sell-off from your dynasty team.
