When Aiyuk returns he may be down the pecking order depending on whether Ricky Pearsall is up to the challenge. Aiyuk may need to be confident in his body as well. Limited success this year makes his dynasty prospects a big question mark

After back-to-back years as a high-end fantasy WR2, Aiyuk missed most of 2024 with a significant knee injury and, so far, all of 2025. The 49ers voided the guarantees of a contract extension signed amid acrimonious discussions during the offseason, and his departure seems inevitable. Dynasty managers will be forgiven for wanting to move on from Aiyuk, while others may see a chance to get a high-upside but volatile receiver on the cheap.

San Francisco to move on from Brandon Aiyuk?
San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk has had his 2026 guaranteed money voided by the team, and the two sides seem to be on track to part ways, according to sources.
Brandon Aiyuk's practice window won't open this week
The wait for Brandon Aiyuk's return continues. The 49ers won't open the receiver's practice window this week. Aiyuk continues to work his way back from the ACL and MCL injuries he sustained last season and remains week-to-week. Another wideout, Jacob Cowing (hamstring), may be nearing a return. Coach Kyle Shanahan noted that the 49ers could open his practice window after the bye week.
