T.J. Hockenson likely will have to restructure
Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson, in the third-year of a four-year, $66 million contract extension signed prior to 2023, will have a cap number of $21.3 million for 2026. At that price, he would have the highest cap number of any tight end in the NFL. He managed 51 receptions for 438 yards and three touchdowns in 2025, his lowest yardage total since joining the team at the trade deadline in 2022.

Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson could be a salary cap casualty this offseason, according to Ben Solak of ESPN.com. The Vikings would save nearly $9 million in cap space before June 1 and $16 million if Hockenson was designated after June 1.
