Daniel Jones looked like a genuine good quarterback in his first year in Indianapolis. The loss of Michael Pittman hurts, but there is enough talent around to make him considerable value. Pending the fitness of Alec Pierce.

Jones earned a long-term contract and his recovery from last year's injury has progressed quickly. Expect a viable fantasy asset when healthy, but don't draft assuming he plays 16-17 games.

Shane Steichen's offense was a good match for Daniel Jones, but there were opposing defenses that limited the Colts' primary weapons and forced Jones into mistakes. If opposing defenses learn enough to be ahead of the curve with the Colts' offensive development over the summer, we could see a decline from Jones when he returns from rehabbing his Achilles. 

If Jones lacks velocity due to his Achilles, this could become an additional problem.

Anthony Richardson to start final preseason game on Saturday

Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson will start the Colts' final preseason game against the Detroit Lions, according to HC Shane Steichen on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Steichen said the starters will play, except QB Daniel Jones and RB Jonathan Taylor. The starters will likely play just a series or two.

Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones (Achilles) hasn't missed any days of practice thus far and has taken every snap with the first-team offense, per ESPN's Stephen Holder, who adds that Jones has 'put to rest' any uncertainties that may have existed coming into camp regarding his availability after tearing his Achilles last December.
