Dynasty selling can capitalize on current events. See 7 players to move off of right now.

Jeff Bell's Dynasty Sells: 7 Players to Trade Away Jeff Bell Published 05/29/2024

Dynasty values can shift off the slightest bit of news. In the desert of the NFL offseason, a viral social media explosion can be all that is needed to create value shifts.

This creates windows to sell and to buy. Our staff discusses players with values worth capitalizing on right now.

Below, you'll see seven players our staff would trade away.

Dynasty Sell: Josh Jacobs, Green Bay

Hutchinson Brown - Now that he is a Green Bay Packer, plenty of dynasty managers are very excited for Josh Jacobs; I would be trying to capitalize on that and trade him away. While the offense is exciting, last year leaves me very concerned about his outlook. He was horribly ineffective with the football at almost every point last season and he's 26 years old with a lot of tread on the tires. Also, his new contract could easily lead to him being cut next off-season. If he struggles again this season, his dynasty value could tank to a point of no return.

Dynasty Sell: Justin Herbert, LA Chargers

Jason Wood - It’s tempting to pick an aging superstar, but those are low-hanging fruit as every experienced dynasty manager is looking to sell high on elite veterans once they cross the age-decline threshold. So, I’ll instead throw out Justin Herbert as a dynasty sell. While our staff collectively ranks him QB9 (which is still too high), industry-wide consensus puts him at QB6, giving you a short window to sell high. While I don’t question Herbert’s talent, the second Jim Harbaugh reunited with Greg Roman in Los Angeles, I knew Herbert’s days as an elite fantasy asset were likely over. The 49ers ranked 31st, 31st, 32nd, and 29th in pass attempts under Harbaugh. Michigan has the 117th-lowest pass rate out of 133 qualifying NCAA teams in their championship run. Greg Roman’s teams ranked 31st, 32nd, 32nd, 32nd, 9th, and 28th in his six years as an NFL offensive coordinator—Occam’s Razor.

Dynasty Sell: Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis

Ryan Weisse - This will be a super unpopular opinion, but the hype around Anthony Richardson makes him a perfect sell candidate. There is always injury risk on rushing quarterbacks, and Richardson only managed four games last season. There were also questions about his passing ability after a 54 percent completion rate in college, and he followed that up with 59 percent in his rookie season. For all of those red flags, I've seen his name mentioned as an MVP candidate? Sell that hype all day, every day.

Dynasty Sell: Tyreek Hill, Miami

Andy Hicks - Tyreek Hill has been phenomenal since joining the Dolphins in 2022. He has over 1700 yards in consecutive seasons, 119 receptions in both years, and 20 total touchdowns. Regression has to occur. Trade him while he has at least one more good season in him before the inevitable decline. Hill just turned 30 and has been carrying injuries often. He should command a hefty price. Next year, maybe not so much.
