Welcome to another season of Dynasty IDP Sleepers! The purpose of this article is to highlight a handful of linebackers, defensive linemen, and defensive backs that might be available in your dynasty leagues. I sample my own 12-, 14-, and 16-team leagues to get a cross-section of players who could be free agents in your leagues. Let's take a look at this week's suggestions!
Dynasty Sleeper Linebackers
Shaq Thompson, Buffalo
Thompson had several productive seasons as a starter in Carolina and is sharing snaps with Dorian Williams, with Matt Milano hurt (again). Williams is likely rostered since he was the main fill-in for Milano in years past, but Thompson could see an increased snap share if he produces well. He finished with four solos and two helper tackles this past week, in only 21 snaps played. Look for those numbers to increase, especially if Williams disappoints.
Isaiah McDuffie, Green Bay
Neither Quay Walker nor Edgerrin Cooper is giving up their spots, but should one of them get injured, McDuffie has proven to be a capable fill-in. He plays about a third of the snaps every weekend, and this past week came through with three solos and three assists. Worth stashing in bigger formats "just in case".
Marcelino McCrary-Ball and Kiko Mauigoa, NY Jets
McCrary-Ball stepped in for Quincy Williams once he was dinged and played 53% of the defensive snaps this past week. Mauigoa also got some run and finished with three solos. Take a look at the depth chart and make a decision on which one to grab. Both are worthy of adds in deeper leagues.
